Local junior high, highschool, and college a cappella groups will perform festive holidaynumbers at Market Street’s The Sing-Off competition on Thursday,December 8th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm in Central Park.Emcee Cristina Kooker of KHOU’s Great Day Houston and special guestSanta Claus will join The Sing-Off judges as participating a cappellagroups sing it out for a chance to be named The Sing-Off Winner.Participating judges include Noemi Gonzalez with Market Street; MonetteSmith with PR Luxury Media; Market Street Blogger Ambassador LorenHamilton; Sarah Kelly with the Sarah Kelly Music School and specialguest judge Adrian Michael, a guest on American Idol seasons 10 and 11,who now fronts the Adrian Michael & The Greenway band.A Capella groups participating in the competition include the RiceUniversity Philharmonics, Montgomery Junior High School Choir, andMagnolia High School Choir.The first round will include holiday-themed performances from allparticipating groups, with only two groups will moving ahead to the nextround of the competition.
