MARKET STREET ANNOUNCES 2025 CHANGE FOR CHARITY RECIPIENTS

MARKET STREET ANNOUNCES 2025 CHANGE FOR CHARITY RECIPIENTS

THE WOODLANDS, TX (January 8, 2025) –Market Street’s Change for Charity program will benefit Montgomery County charities in 2025. The thousands of dollars in change inserted in Market Street’s premium parking meters throughout the year will benefit The Woodlands Kiwanis Club, New Danville, and Mosaics of Mercy. During the 4th quarter, Market Street will support local public schools by donating to the school that wins The Sing-Off, scheduled for December 2025.
The Woodlands Car Club also generously raises money for the Change for Charity recipients throughout the year at their events, held the first Sunday of each month.  Their contributions, coupled with the amount donated to Market Street’s 68 parking meters make up the total amount given to a selected charity each quarter.
“It is our honor and privilege to have contributed more than $350,000 to our local community since the Change for Charity program began,” says Noemi Gonzalez, marketing director at Market Street. “Giving back to the community we serve would not be possible without the generosity of our Market Street guests and patrons of The Woodlands Car Club events.”
The program’s first-quarter beneficiary, The Woodlands Kiwanis Club, focuses on children in crisis, ill, with special needs, or needing mentorship. The Woodlands Kiwanis Club assists children in Montgomery County, and the organization is passionate about making a difference by helping kids grow and succeed.
The second-quarter beneficiary, New Danville, was founded in 2005 and serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and those needing similar services. Located in a rural environment, New Danville promotes dignity, respect, and the opportunity to live enriched and purposeful lives. New Danville offers both a day program and residential community to empower and maximize personal independence by offering learning opportunities that reinforce personal growth and freedom of choice.
Mosaics of Mercy, the program’s third-quarter recipient, is non-profit organization that helps members of the community navigate mental health and substance use recovery resources. Within Montgomery County there are families with mental health and addiction struggles and resources for these struggles, but there has been a gap between the two, at times preventing people from making a connection. Mosaics of Mercy is building a bridge over the gap in the community.
