Woodlands Performance & Suspension – WPS & area auto enthusiasts meet at Market Street the 1st Sunday of each month
from 6:30-10:30 a.m., to continue efforts to provide a fun and creative way to give back to our community.
The purpose of this event is to provide a morning gathering to show off special vehicles, be a supportive partner with Market Street and the local community, share information about needful non-profit organizations in Montgomery County, and to give back monetarily as well. We will be collecting coins/change, or ANY monetary amount for our donation to the Market Street “Change for Charities” program that will benefit 4 non-profit organizations each year in Montgomery County. We have collected and donated over $90,000 to over 55 local charities from this event since 2009.
All “display” vehicles will be asked to enter by the entrance where Starbucks is located. At that time, you will be asked to sign in, your donation of ANY amount will be collected, and then you will be assisted where to park.
Although this event is for WPS/TWCC, and the parking spaces in the Market Street area are limited, area enthusiasts are invited on a first-come, first-serve basis. We have been invited to partner with Market Street in their Change for Charity program. We appreciate your cooperation in following the rules and etiquette, and support in making this event safe and successful.
*Please respect the following rules/guidelines:
>Start Time Entry: Although the official start time of the event is 7 a.m., please DO NOT move the barricades or enter before 6:30 a.m. If you are approached by security and/or a police officer, you will be asked to move and enter at the appropriate time. If you would like to arrive before 6:30 a.m. you may park at HEB as a holding/parking area until the time of entry.
>Entrance & Sign-In: Please enter in front of Starbucks. If you enter in any other place, you will be asked to go to the main entrance area to sign in and make your donation.
>Filming, Photography, or Postings about TWCC Cars & Coffee for a Cause: If you are going to post anything regarding this event, including video’s or photo’s, please make sure you include the correct name of this event. This is a charity car display, and we work hard to make sure the community and participants understand our purpose, and don’t cause confusion with other similar events.
>Parking: Please park in designated event areas and no holding/saving spaces. Please respect sponsor and charity vehicle parking that is coned-off up front by the check-in area. *PLEASE NOTE: Vehicles parking on the North Side must be parked in a parallel position all throughout that area and if not parked that way, you may be asked to re-park. Once parked, you must come to the main entrance and sign in, and make your donation if you haven’t already done so.
>Solicitation/Sponsorship/Volunteers: Absolutely no unapproved solicitation or advertising. Please inquire about sponsorship opportunities, as we are always looking for sponsors for this event as well as volunteers.
No Excessive Revving ~ No Speeding ~ No Burnouts or Squealing Tires
We will make our donation/check presentation to one charity per quarter (when Market Street selects the date and time), along with the donation from Market Street’s collection from the parking meters. This is a volunteer opportunity and a hobby for all of us, and collectively we are certainly making a positive difference in the lives of others in a fun and creative way.
