30 Young Artists from The Woodlands land on the GRAMMY® Ballot
The Woodlands, TX – October 3, 2025 – When the first-round of GRAMMY® voting
opens on Friday, October 3rd, voters will see global stars like Sabrina Carpenter and
Lady Gaga. Alongside these familiar names you’ll find 30 emerging young artists from
The Woodlands, Texas.
These artists, all students at the Sarah Kelly Music School located in Market Street,
have spent the past year writing and recording original music while collaborating with
world-class musicians and engineers.
Several of the ballot-listed songs were recorded in Nashville with acclaimed recording
engineer, Jeremy Hunter (Taylor Swift, Celine Dion). They feature contributions from
musicians whose résumés include work with Willie Nelson, Elton John, and Idina
Menzel.
“It’s amazing to get to use the music industry connections Sarah and I have built
over the years to benefit these young and talented artists.” said Jonas Ekman. He is
the producer behind the songs and co-owner of the Sarah Kelly Music School,
alongside his wife, 2x Grammy Nominated singer-songwriter, Sarah Kelly-Ekman.
To celebrate, the Sarah Kelly Music School will host a Grammy Hopefuls Showcase
on Friday, October 10 at 6:30 p.m. at Market Street in The Woodlands. The community
is invited to come and celebrate the incredible music being created right here in The
Woodlands.
The nominees for Music’s Biggest Night will be announced on Nov 7.
